9:45 a.m., 3/26/26: Due to decreasing water service at the school, the Center of Applied Technology North will close early today at 10:30 a.m. As a result, there will be no afternoon sessions.Students will be transported to their home schools, where they will complete the remainder of the school day.
7:30 a.m., 3/26/26: An accident on Route 100 near Oakwood Road is causing significant traffic delays in the area this morning.
7:10 a.m., 3/26/26: Due to a lack of water at the school, Severn Run High School will be closed for students and staff today.

3:10 p.m., 3-25-26: A serious accident has closed northbound Route 3 at Riedel Road in Crofton. The road is expected to remain closed for some time. Afternoon transportation for students in that area and potentially beyond will be delayed. Police advise avoiding Route 3.
Community partnerships are absolutely crucial to student success. Thanks to the Rumor Meal staff for hosting Chesapeake High School students and providing them with plenty of information about the restaurant business, not to mention hands-on lessons on making personal pizzas!

Stacy Pellegrin spent 23 years as a math teacher and school-based coach for her colleagues. Then she found her true calling in student leadership.
Since becoming Anne Arundel County Public Schools’ Manager of Student Leadership since 2017, Pellegrin has had an enormous impact on cultivating and empowering student voice and engagement. That impact has now been recognized on the state level, with Pellegrin being named the 2026 Maryland State Regional Advisor of the Year.

4 p.m., 3/11/26: Cleanup from the flooding that occurred in the building at Monarch Global Academy in Laurel will last through the remainder of the week. As such, the school will continue to operate on a virtual schedule through Friday, March 13.
