Anne Arundel County Public Schools staff will conduct a public briefing on the four Phase 2 redistricting proposals the Board of Education has voted to move forward to public hearing at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025, in the Board Room of the Parham Building, located at 2644 Riva Road in Annapolis.
At its meeting on September 17, 2025, the Board moved forward both recommendations provided by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mark Bedell and two others that include Board member amendments. Information on all four proposals can be found here.
The briefing will be broadcast live on AACPS-TV and on AACPS’ YouTube channel. No public testimony will be taken at the briefing.
Public testimony on the proposals will be taken at public hearings scheduled by the Board for October 13, 2025, and October 27, 2025. Those hearings, which will also be broadcast live on AACPS-TV and on AACPS’ YouTube channel, will be held in the Board Room. Details about procedures to sign up and deliver testimony at the hearings will be forthcoming. Speakers will be limited to two minutes and may only testify at one hearing.
The Board is scheduled to adopt a redistricting plan in November. That plan will go into effect in August 2026.
