The Board of Education of Anne Arundel County today elected Gloria Dent as president and Dawn Pulliam as vice president for the coming year.
Dent was appointed to the Board to represent Councilmanic District 1 in September 2021 to fill the vacancy created by the death of Candace C.W. Antwine. She was elected to a four-year term in 2024.
Pulliam was also elected to a four-year term in 2024 and represents District 7 on the Board.
Dent and Pulliam will serve one-year terms in their respective capacities as Board officers.
The Board is comprised of seven elected adult members and one student member. Also serving on the Board are Robert Silkworth (District 2), Erica McFarland (District 3), Sarah J. McDermott (District 4), Dana Schallheim (District 5), Dr. Joanna Tobin (District 6) and Student Member Brayden Morgan of Glen Burnie High School.
