The Board of Education of Anne Arundel County has changed the time of the closed session it will hold on Monday, November 3, 2025, and will now meet prior to its scheduled public hearing on the Phase 2 redistricting process.
The Board announced on Friday that it would vote immediately following the hearing to vote to go into closed session, pursuant to Section 3-305(b) of the General Provisions Article of the Open Meetings Act, to consult with counsel to obtain legal advice on a legal matter.
The schedule change means the Board will meet in a public session at 5:15 p.m. for the sole purpose of voting to enter the closed session. Closed session is not open to the public.
The redistricting hearing, which is open to the public, will still begin at 6 p.m. as previously announced.
