Introducing Rooms

From work to home to school, our phones are a key tool to how we each navigate and communicate throughout the day. The custom-built Anne Arundel County Public Schools app makes it easy to stay up to date with district news and events.

Now, Anne Arundel County Public Schools is making it easier to stay in touch with teachers and class information from that same app. Using the Anne Arundel County Public Schools app you can easily switch from district and school information to Rooms where you can see your student's classes and engage directly with teachers.

Rooms can be accessed via the web and from our district app, which is available for free and can be used from both Apple and Android phones. To access Rooms, you will need to create a login and password.

Getting started...

Connecting your students in Rooms

Depending on how you signed up for Rooms, you may already be connected to the proper students. If not, there are a couple ways you can connect to students:

If you received a Magic Code from AACPS, you can add it in one of two ways:

Option 1: While logged in on a computer, you can click on the student switcher in the top right corner, click Add Student, then provide the Magic Code and confirm your student.

Option 2: If you're not logged in, or adding a student from your phone, you can navigate to https://id.edurooms.com/signup and provide the Magic Code there.

Top Tips for Families

Customize your notification preferences.
First, make sure to turn on Push Notifications after downloading the school app. That way you’re always notified when you receive messages from your students’ teachers, coaches, and counselors. If you’d like to receive more notifications, you can visit your account settings and turn on Hourly Email Notifications and the Daily Digest feature. These are just a few ways to ensure you’re always connected to your child’s school.

  1. Get acquainted with all of the different Rooms features.
    Browse through the Class Info section to view any new school supply lists, lesson plans, office hours, and more! Then, read through recent Announcements to stay up-to-date with what is happening in the classroom.

  2. Reach out to your child's teachers.
    Above all else, establish a great rapport with your child’s teachers. Your involvement in their education is invaluable. By fostering open lines of communication, you can play a pivotal role in enhancing their education journey. Whether it’s to discuss progress, address concerns, or simply stay informed, reaching out to teachers can lead to a deeper understanding of your child’s academic needs and strengths.
