The Board of Education of Anne Arundel County has approved a negotiated agreement for the current fiscal year with the Association of Educational Leaders (AEL) that provides cost-of-living increases and salary scale adjustments for members of the bargaining unit.
The FY2026 agreement with AEL, approved at the Board’s February 4, 2026, meeting, is retroactive to July 1, 2025. It provides a 3 percent cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for all bargaining unit employees and salary adjustments for bargaining unit employees who are paid below market value.
AEL represents principals, assistant principals, coordinators, and special assistants within the school district.
The Board now has formally approved agreements with three of its four employee bargaining units for the current fiscal year. It is at impasse with the Secretaries and Assistants Assocation of Anne Arundel County.
