For students, the Triple E program feels very different from the traditional classroom experience many adults remember. In Triple E, students work in pairs or groups to solve problems and are allowed to fail and try again. Students utilize the Engineering Design Process (EDP) to solve real-world problems. By aligning our program to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), students deepen their understanding of science content. STEM in Society encourages students to become inventors and innovators.
Students in Triple E often work in pairs or as a group to solve problems. Triple E prepares students to ask questions, imagine, plan, create, test, and improve their ideas. Providing students with hands-on projects engages them in the learning process.
If your student is in the Triple E program, you can expect them to become a well-rounded learner who identifies problems and works with resources available to solve them. Student prepare to solve the obstacles of tomorrow by being shown how to connect to their world using a variety of tools and skills. Students will grow into more independent thinkers and use their own set of unique skills and abilities to interact with their peers, teachers and tackle new problems and situations.
The Triple E class is one hour a week. Students learn about concepts involving science, technology, engineering, and math. Students take what they know and try to solve real world issues involving these problems. Most importantly, teachers and students have lots of fun!
