SPIRIT DAY - Friday 2/27
Dress like your favorite book character!
*******
Due to the cold weather ❄️, our February Fall in Love with Reading Challenge Book Character Parade will be moved indoors.
Parents who wish to attend and view the parade are welcome to join us! 🎉 Please enter through the front entrance of the building and be prepared to present your photo ID in order to receive a visitor badge. For the safety of all students, all visitors must check in before proceeding to the Cafeteria.
Parents will stand along the walls inside the Cafeteria as students parade through in their wonderful book character costumes. 📚✨
The parade will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m., so we kindly ask that you arrive before that time to allow for check-in. ⏰
We are excited to celebrate our students’ love of reading and can’t wait to see all of their creative costumes! ❤️📖 Thank you for your flexibility and continued support.

We can’t wait to capture these special classroom memories! 😊
We are thrilled to share that our Fall in Love with Reading Challenge is off to a fantastic start! ❤️📚 Our students have been diving into books and showing wonderful enthusiasm for reading in creative and exciting ways!
We love seeing our students build strong reading habits while having fun! Don’t forget — the class with the greatest participation will earn Gladiator Games with Mr. Myers! 🏆 Keep encouraging your child to read each night and return their completed calendars.
Students will celebrate their reading success by participating in a Book Character Parade, where they may dress up as their favorite book character on 2-27-2026 at 8:30.
Thank you for partnering with us to help our students continue to fall in love with reading! 💛
Anne Arundel County Public Schools is monitoring the weather forecast for potential inclement weather Sunday into Monday. As a reminder, our school district has used all three of the inclement weather days built into the calendar. Should another inclement weather day be needed on Monday or any other future day, it is our intention to switch to virtual learning instructional schedules. This would avoid adding a day to the end of the school year.
Students are being reminded today to take their assigned devices home with them and keep them charged through the weekend.
Virtual learning schedules, which have been updated since the last storm, can be found at www.aacps.org/studentschedules.
