Celebrating the 100th day of school (80 days left)!
Dress like you are 100 years old OR wear 80's themed clothes
We’re excited to kick off our February reading incentive, 📖 Fall in Love with Reading! 📖 From February 17–27, students are encouraged to read each night at home and have a parent or guardian sign their reading calendar. Completed calendars should be returned to the homeroom teacher at the end of each week.
We’ll celebrate our readers with a Book Character Parade on February 27 at 8:30 a.m., where students may dress as their favorite book character. The homeroom class with the most completed calendars will also earn a special reward — Gladiator Games with our very own rock star, Mr. Myers!
Thank you for partnering with us to build strong reading habits and a lifelong love of books. Let’s fall in love with reading together this February! 📚💕

The monetary awards are given each spring in honor of Ms. Antwine, a Navy veteran who served on the Board of Education from 2018 until her death in 2021, to AACPS students who have made a similar commitment by enlisting to serve in the United States military upon graduation. They assist awardees with initial expenses related to enlisting, including uniforms and basic training supplies, and aim to remove financial barriers to military service.
Applications for this year’s award can be found online at www.aacps.org/serviceaward. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on April 17, 202

3:00 p.m., 2/3/26: Barring any additional inclement weather overnight that would impact school operations, all Anne Arundel County Public Schools and offices will open on time and will operate on normal schedules for students and staff on Wednesday, February 4.
There will still be areas of the county where adverse road and sidewalk conditions exist tomorrow morning, so families and employees are urged to continue to exercise caution and patience, including as it relates to decisions about student drivers. Families of students who normally walk to school should once again closely examine walking routes and, if prudent and possible, consider transporting their students to and from school.
Thank you.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mark Bedell delivers a message to families, students and staff about the reopening of schools today and also thanks all those who continue to exercise grace and patience. More than 90 percent of students attended classes in person today, and our AACPS team is continuing to work along with County and City of Annapolis crews to make things better as the week progresses. #BelongGrowSucceed #AACPSFamily
