Dear Families,
Next week, Solley Elementary will be celebrating Harvest for the Hungry Spirit Week! This is a fun and meaningful way for our students to show school spirit while helping to fight hunger in our community. Each day will have a special theme and a suggested food donation item. All donations will support the Anne Arundel County Food Bank and Solley families in need.
Here's what's happening each day:
Monday, October 20th – “Hats off to stopping hunger!”
🎩 Crazy Hair/Hat Day
🫙- Bring in jars of peanut butter and jelly
Tuesday, October 21st – “Overpowered by generosity!”
🦸 Dress like your favorite superhero
- Bring in dry goods such as mashed potatoes, stuffing, pasta, or mac & cheese
Wednesday, October 22nd – “Don't sleep on helping others!”
👔 Dress to Impress
- Bring in canned fruit and soups
Thursday, October 23rd – “Get cozy for kindness!”
🛌 Pajama Day
- Bring in breakfast items—boxes of oatmeal, cereal, or granola bars
Friday, October 24th – “Winners help others!”
🏈 Sports Day

Let's work together to make a difference! Every item donated helps support families in our community. Thank you for your generosity and for helping our students learn the importance of giving back.
