Acting on newly released unofficial enrollment counts for the current school year provided to it last night, the Board of Education has moved two additional redistricting proposals to public hearing. With last night’s action, the Board has now moved six proposals forward to public hearing.

Hello families!
Thank you everyone for visiting us on Tuesday for our Grandfriend's day! It was truly a pleasure to invite over 130 adults into our building so that they could see their special little friend learn! The Board of Education of Anne Arundel County will receive new additional information regarding Phase 2 of the comprehensive redistricting process and consider revisions to the current school year calendar at its next regular business meeting, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

At the meeting, the Board will also receive an update on the minimum school funding requirements contained in the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future and the work Anne Arundel County Public Schools is doing to meet those requirements.

The Board of Education today announced a change in its schedule of public hearings regarding Phase 2 of its comprehensive redistricting process. The changes will allow the Board to receive new additional information from Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mark Bedell that may be helpful in the Board’s decision-making process.

Dr. Bedell told the Board he will present preliminary 2025-2026 student enrollment information at the Board’s next meeting, set for October 15, 2025. As a result, the Board has postponed the first of its two public hearings, scheduled for October 13, 2025.
