This special evening features nationally respected trainer Frank Kros, MSW, JD, who will lead an engaging workshop focused on helping parents and caregivers:
- Strengthen communication with their child and school staff
- Support academic, social, and emotional growth
- Learn effective advocacy strategies to navigate school systems
- Build confidence in guiding their student’s educational journey
Families check your email for more information!

In addition to our holiday baskets, Phoenix Academy offers several ongoing supports aimed at reducing food insecurity in our community:
🥫 Community Food Pantry
Our in-house Community Food Pantry is open multiple days per week and provides students, families, and community members with access to essential groceries, household items, and hygiene products.
🎒 Weekend Food Bag Program
To ensure that students have enough meals and snacks when school is not in session, our Weekend Food Bag Program provides weekly food bags to students who may need additional support at home.
At Phoenix Academy, we believe that students learn best when their basic needs are met. Through these initiatives, we are fighting food insecurity, one student and one family at a time.

The seven-week academy is aimed at improving communication between the school system and international families as well as diversifying the pool of leaders in schools and communities who can better support the academic achievement of international students and multilingual learners. Meetings will be held during the day at various Anne Arundel County Public Schools locations.
