Hilltop’s 2nd Annual Family Bingo Night was a hit! 🎉 The evening was filled with food, smiles, laughter, and a little bit of luck as our families came together for a fun night of bingo and connection. This year’s event also served as a mental health initiative, where families received supportive, real-life strategies for prioritizing wellness, managing stress, and strengthening emotional well-being at home. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Anne Arundel Partnership for Children, Youth & Families and Community Schools to create a space that uplifted and supported our Hilltop families. 💫

The hat may say “Boss,” but at Glendale Elementary School, Principal Lauren Wickline is far more than that. Staff and students put on a little surprise get-together this week to celebrate Ms. Wickline’s leadership, friendship and inspiration. #BelongGrowSucceed #AACPSFamily

Kellie Goforth, Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) site coordinator at North County High School, has been named one of four finalists for National AVID Site Coordinator of the Year, the organization has announced.

The AVID program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at promoting college and career readiness throughout the school and aims to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college and career readiness in a global society. AVID focuses on academic support, skill development, and fostering a college-going culture to empower students to reach their full potential.

💜 Honoring Military Kids 💜 We are proud to recognize April as Military Child Month, a time dedicated to honoring the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of children in military families. Military connected students often face unique challenges, including frequent moves, long separations from loved ones, and adjusting to new schools and communities. Despite this, they continue to show courage, adaptability, and perseverance in all they do. We invite everyone to wear purple on April 28th to show support and appreciation for our military kids. Purple represents all branches of the military coming together as one, and it’s a powerful way to show that we stand with and celebrate these incredible students. 💜 Those not dressed in purple, must be in their school uniform, including bottoms, and shoes.
