Sylvia Calabrese may not have been heavily involved in agriculture as a small child, but she’s sure making her mark now. The South River High School senior this week was selected as one of two 2026 Maryland Farm Bureau (MDFB) Ambassadors, putting her in a position to advocate for agricultural issues across Maryland.

At Annapolis Middle School, we are proud to celebrate Dr. Han’s incredible achievement as the recipient of the 2025 Yao Memorial Award for Outstanding New Teacher, presented by the Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools (CLASS).
Dr. Han attended the ACTFL Annual Convention in New Orleans and the CLASS Award Ceremony, where she formally received this national recognition and presented her innovative teaching design. This inspiring experience reflects her dedication to excellence and creativity in language education.
