The Board of Education of Anne Arundel County will meet at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025, for the specific purpose of voting to go into closed session, pursuant to Section 3-305(b) of the General Provisions Article of the Open Meetings Act, to discuss personnel matters and consult with counsel to obtain legal advice on a legal matter. Anne Arundel County Public Schools students demonstrated continued growth on statewide assessments in the 2024-2025 school year, increasing the proficiency rate in 10 of the 11 grade band assessments in English Language Arts (ELA), math, and science, data released by the Maryland Department of Education today shows.
