Hello Middle School Parents and Families,
AACPS has issued a Code Red Heat Restriction protocol for middle and high school student athletics from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Code Red means no outside activity and no inside activity without AC.
Subsequently, MGA will be cancelling Track and Field tryouts for today (9/3/26) since they are scheduled to take place outside. Track and Field tryouts will take place next week, on Tuesday (9/8/26) and Thursday (9/10/26) after school.
Basketball tryouts will continue today (9/3/26) as planned since they take place in the air-conditioned school.

In an abundance of caution, MGA will be cancelling Track and Field tryouts for today (9/1/26) since they are scheduled to take place outside. Track and Field tryouts are scheduled to resume on Thursday (9/3/26) after school.
Basketball tryouts will continue today (9/1/26) as planned since they take place in the air-conditioned school.
