Anne Arundel County Public Schools has a free mobile app that makes staying informed easier than ever before. In the 2026-27 school year, routine announcements about school system events and operations will be disseminated primarily through the mobile app, the news section of the AACPS website, and through messaging to families (not through social media). Emergency notifications will continue to be featured in the alerts banner at the top off the AACPS website on social media pages. To ensure receipt of the latest updates and information, families should download the app and follow their student's school(s).Download the app in the App Store or on Google Play today!

Hi everyone! My name is Ms. Hopkins and I will be teaching 7th grade Social Studies this coming school year. This is my first year with AACPS, and I look forward to joining MacArthur in the fall. I am originally from Baltimore, but for the past 2 years, I have been living and working in El Salvador teaching some of my favorite subjects, including psychology and sociology, to high school students. My most favorite subject however, which I am so excited to reunite with at MacArthur, is history. I can’t wait to explore the history of our world with 7th grade! Outside of teaching, I love reading, running, baking/cooking, watching the Orioles, and spending time with all the people that I love. I look forward to meeting you all soon!
🦅❤️🤍💙 Welcome to MacArthur Middle, Ms. Trice, our new School Social Worker! A proud AACPS graduate, Ms. Trice brings valuable experience and a strong connection to our community. We're excited to have her supporting our Eagles this year! 🦅

Hi, MacArthur Eagles, I’m so excited to be your School Social Worker! I grew up attending AACPS schools, so returning here is incredibly rewarding. Before returning home, I spent time living in Puerto Rico and teaching grades 3–7 at an alternative school in Florida. My goal is to make sure our students and families have the support they need to thrive. When I’m not at school, you can usually find me working out, baking or spending time with family and friends.
🦅❤️🤍💙 Please join us in giving a warm MacArthur Middle School welcome to Ms. Reynolds, our new 6th Grade School Counselor! ❤️🤍💙🦅
While Ms. Reynolds may be a new face at MacArthur, many of our rising students from Seven Oaks will be excited to see a familiar and trusted counselor supporting them on their middle school journey. Her dedication to student success and well-being will make a wonderful addition to our Eagle family.
We are thrilled to have you with us, Ms. Reynolds, and we know our Eagles will soar with your support, guidance, and care. Welcome to the nest! 🦅✨

Outside of school, I enjoy hanging out with my husband and our three young adult children, reading a good book, working in my garden, and finding opportunities to serve others. I look forward to getting to know your families and supporting our students as they navigate these important middle school years!

This is my first year teaching! Prior to education, I spent time as a government contractor doing content strategy, as a corporate marketing specialist, and a small-town journalist. I’m a Virginia Beach native. I moved to Maryland with my husband, where we enjoy our days with two beautiful kids and two pit bulls. When I’m not working, I spend time in the fiber arts, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and even spinning wool.
