The next meeting of the Innovative School Scheduling Workgroup established by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mark Bedell will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in the Board Room of the Parham Building, located at 2644 Riva Road in Annapolis.
The workgroup has been created to engage stakeholders in a robust conversation regarding school scheduling in Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) and to consider innovative school scheduling models for implementation in AACPS. It consists of AACPS staff, elected officials, and representatives from community organizations.
Meetings are open to the public and public feedback on innovative school scheduling in AACPS and the work of the workgroup is encouraged. Individuals will be able to provide comment in person or virtually at the end of each workgroup meeting. A total of five speakers will be permitted to speak for three minutes each. Written comment may also be submitted to Grace Wilson, Senior Legislative and Policy Specialist, at gawilson1@aacps.org.
As the group’s work progresses, more information will be posted at www.aacps.org/schedulingworkgroup. Those who cannot attend meetings in person can watch virtually through links found on that page.

For students in grades K-6, please return your rental agreement if you have not done so already and are planning on using a CSPES Chromebook this year. All students MUST have a device. If you need an additional form, you can pick one up in the main office. Thank you for your speedy attention to this matter.

Dear CSPES Family,
It is with deep sadness that I share the news of a tragic loss within our school community. Yesterday, one of our students lost their mother after a courageous battle with cancer.
During this incredibly difficult time, we are asking for your support. The family would greatly appreciate donations of restaurant or meal delivery gift cards, which would help ease their burden. You can drop off any donations at the school office.

Finally, we share a big thank you and shout out to our Hospitality Committee for organizing an amazing welcome back breakfast event last month for our CSPES teachers and staff. Thanks to their hard work and the generous support of our community, PTO was able to provide a gold medal-worthy welcome to our teachers and staff that consisted of a made-to-order omelet bar, coffee station, and other breakfast treats. We appreciate everyone's generosity to help make this event a huge success!
