Anne Arundel County Public Schools has a free mobile app that makes staying informed easier than ever before. In the 2026-27 school year, routine announcements about school system events and operations will be disseminated primarily through the mobile app, the news section of the AACPS website, and through messaging to families (not through social media). Emergency notifications will continue to be featured in the alerts banner at the top off the AACPS website on social media pages. To ensure receipt of the latest updates and information, families should download the app and follow their student's school(s).Download the app in the App Store or on Google Play today!

Let's fill a school bus with school supplies!
For the last several years, the AACPS community has been very generous by stuffing a school bus with donations of school supplies for students. This year, we’re doing it again!
Thursday, August 20
3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Old Mill Middle School South, 430 Old Mill Road, Millersville
Superintendent Dr. Mark Bedell, Board members, district leaders and Education Foundation members will be there, and OMMS will be hosting its annual block party at the same time. Bring your school supply donations and join us!

Several PHES teachers attended AACPS' RIS2E Conference this week and are eager to apply new ideas and information to their instruction. Way to go, Mr. Wells, Ms. Jackson, Ms. Reyes, and Ms. Clements!

We are excited to welcome our students and families for a special opportunity to Sneak-a-Peek at your seat on August 20th, 2026 at 1:00pm. #BelongGrowSucceed #AligntheStars

Mrs. Phelix is super proud of her chorus students during both their in-school and evening performance of their Spring Concert. It was such a fun, energetic, and meaningful performance! #PHESPride #MusicPerformers #BelongGrowSucceed

Meade is GOLDEN! We love collaborating as a feeder to make music together! #MeadeStrong #BelongGrowSucceed

Our musicians are so creative! This week, 4th grade students have figured out the musical form for a song, identified how long each section was, created an 8-beat cup routine ostinato, and then performed it with the music! #BelongGrowSucceed #PHESPride #MusicalCreators

2nd graders are ostinato masters. Today they created a summer themed ostinato, played it on a drum, and layered them all together as a class!

END OF YEAR PICNIC! We are SO proud of ALL of our students and their grow this year. Our PBIS team, with support of our PTA, put together a fun end of year picnic for our students and families! #BelongGrowSucceed

Our 2nd grade music room is bouncing with "speckled frogs," having fun adding movement and and rhythm sticks to the classic children's song.

Music challenge is second grade - can you use our instruments and turn them into words? Some groups problem solved when they did not have enough materials!

Ease on Down the Road! Our team from PHES had a BLAST learning from amazing presenters with tips, strategies, resources, and new ideas to support our MTSS/PBIS program for next year! We were also presented with our recognition flag!

The heat of summer makes outdoor water activities enticing for children and adults alike. Following these simple tips from our partners at the Maryland Department of Natural Resources can increase enjoyment and prevent tragedy.
