Music in our schools month is so important! Every year, we work on a display for the remaining of the school year. I cannot wait to see how the display turns out. Music is blooming all around you.

Sharing what we learn!

Reading week has been a blast! One day this week was all about wearing clothes with WORDS to encourage more reading!

For Non-Fiction day, a student came dressed at Taylor Swift with her book and knew that our music teacher had the same book! They were so excited to share this moment. Our music teacher also had to share her love for Dolly Parton for Non-Fiction Day and Women's History month!

Students explaining their thoughts with a "discussion train" in fourth grade.

Today’s 5th grade CKLA instruction intentionally centered Speaking & Listening as the vehicle for comprehension. Scholars engaged in structured discourse—reading, discussing, questioning, and building on one another’s ideas rather than passively receiving information.

First grade students used a hand game, a ball, their voices, and their solfege hands signs to show melody (so-mi-la) and how their are higher notes and lower notes.
