7:40 a.m ., 9/12/25: An accident has closed westbound Route 50 in Annapolis near Route 450. This will cause delays in students being transported to school this morning, most notably in the Annapolis, Broadneck, and South River clusters. At this time, all buses will make all stops but there will likely be delays in getting to some stops. Families transporting students to school in those clusters this morning and staff traveling to schools in those clusters should allow additional time for travel.

Ten years ago, this young lady was sitting in Mrs Hughes' (Ferrell) classroom as a 5th grade student. Fast forwarding 10 years later, she is now subbing for her old elementary school, where her great future began! And even in Mrs Hughes's class! The relationships and climate that our teachers create are truly amazing! Lauren, thank you so much for coming back and giving back to our community. High Point is extremely proud of you, Lauren! We are always here for you! Soon enough, you will have your own classroom. I sure hope it's right here with HPES!
