The STEM Office at AACPS offers suites of
STEM academic and co-curricular offerings for pre K-12
students during the academic year and summer months to enrich and
enhance learning, build STEM career awareness and engage students in
challenging STEM-related projects and events.
AACPS is in the process of building an exciting,
rich pre K – 12 learning environment for Anne Arundel County youth
to substantially increase the numbers of young people who see real
value and reward in studying and working in science, technology,
pre-engineering and mathematics, STEM discipline areas.
By increasing the pool of engaged participants, especially those
from backgrounds traditionally under-represented in the STEM
pipeline, we can help secure the future supply of graduates to meet
local, regional, state and national needs and ensure the
sustainability of flowing STEM career pathways over the longer term.
