IMPORTANT Save the Dates - 2027 Senior Class Calendar

These dates have been approved by Principal Smith and are on the school calendar. They can be used for planning as official events for the 2026-27 school year. Please review this document regularly. There are three MANDATORY events for seniors listed below, highlighted in RED. Seniors are required to attend these events. Excusal by Principal Smith is required beforehand for missing MANDATORY events.

  1. Thursday, August 6th & Tuesday, August 11th- 8:30-9:30 AM - Senior Year Success and College Planning - Auditorium

    1. Information provided by the Guidance Department for seniors regarding transcripts, Naviance, applying to college, and credits needed for graduation. 

    2. Same information for both meeting dates.

  1. Thursday, August 20th - 8 AM - Senior Parking Permit Presentation/Secure Permit 

  1. Thursday, August 20th - 4-7 PM - Open House/Back-To-School Night

  1. Monday, August 24th - 6-7:30 AM - Senior Sunrise - Turf 2  

    1. This is a Senior Officer-planned event. Watch for info on the Senior Instagram page.

  1. Tuesday, August 25th - 8:10-8:30 AM - Seniors’ Last First Day 

    1. Seniors enter at the Gym Entrance for pictures with balloons, frames, & signs

  1. Friday, September 11th at NEST - Soak-A-Senior FUNdraiser - Front Lawn

    1. Watch for participation on the Senior Instagram and Graduating Class Canvas page.

  1. Wednesday, September 16th - Senior Information Assembly and Parent Information Night

    1. Senior Assembly - Wednesday September 16, 11:00-11:50 AM

    2. Senior Parent Information Night - September 16, 6:30-8:00 PM by Alpha Last Name

      1. Senior Last Names A - L - Virtual Meet 6:30 - 7:15 PM

      2. Senior Last Names M - Z - Virtual Meet 7:15 - 8 PM

Virtual Meet Codes will be sent via parent emails and posted on the Senior Graduating Class Canvas page.

  1. Wednesday, September 22nd - Monday, September 28th - Cap & Gown Order Week 

    1. ALL Senior Caps & Gowns will be ordered in Senior Advisory classes - No payments at that time.

    2. Cap/Gown fees are included in the Senior Dues payment.

  1. Tuesday, September 16th - Friday, October, 9th - Senior Fundraiser - Joe Corbi’s Online Sale

    1. More participation means lower prom ticket prices. This fundraiser will be introduced at the Senior and Parent Assemblies.

    2. Information will be sent home through all forms of electronic communication.

  1. Monday, September 28th  - Friday, October 2nd - Homecoming Ticket Sales - Nest & Lunches

    1. Ticket Sales are One Week Only! Dance Contracts will be available the week before sales begin. 

    2. Ticket prices will be posted as soon as possible. Cash, check, and credit card payments will be accepted. 

    3. Homecoming Dance tickets are available for South River students only. No Outside Guests permitted.

  2. Wednesday, October 7th - 6:30 PM - Senior vs. Junior Girls Flag Football Game - Stadium

    1. Tickets ($5 - cash only) will be sold at the gate. Player registration announcements will be posted on the Senior Instagram, Graduating Class Canvas page, and morning announcements.

  1. Friday, October 9th - Homecoming Football Game vs. Crofton High School - Stadium

  1. Saturday, October 10th - 7-10 PM - Homecoming Dance - GYM 

    1. Dance Ticket Sales will be 9/28 - 10/2 during Nest and Lunches.

  1. Monday, October 12th - Friday, October 16th - Senior Fundraiser Spikeball Tournament - NEST on Turf 2 

    1. (Weather-permitting) Participation is open to all grades and is First-come, First serve for sign-ups

    2. $10/Team Fee; Single Elimination Tournament; Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

  1. Friday, October 30th - Senior Class Dues payments are DUE BY This Date 

    1. Class Dues amount will be announced in early September. 

    2. Class Dues include the cost of Cap & Gown plus annual class dues.

  2. Wednesday, January 27th - Prom Theme and Finance Vote Mandatory Senior Meeting - Advisory - Auditorium

    1. This is a MANDATORY meeting for all seniors, even those with modified schedules, after-school employment, internships, or ECAP classes at AACC. Please make your employer or professors aware that you MUST attend this meeting.

  3. Wednesday, March 24th - Senior Panoramic - Advisory - GYM

  4. Wednesday, April 21st - Prom Promise & Senior Contract - 9-10 AM - Auditorium

    1. Senior Attendance is MANDATORY.

  5. Monday, April 26th - Friday, April 30th - Prom Ticket Sales -  During NEST & Lunches

    1. Ticket Sales are One Week Only! Ticket price will be announced by mid-April.

    2. Outside Guest Forms and Dance Contracts will be available by April 12th.

  1. Saturday, May 8th - Time TBD - Senior Prom - The Byzantium, 2747 Riva Rd., Annapolis, MD.

  1. Saturday, May 8th - Sunday, May 9th - After Prom/Prom Breakfast - Location & Time TBD

  2. Monday, May 17th - 6 PM - Senior Awards Night - Auditorium

    1. Families will be notified one week before via parent email.

  1. Monday, May 17th - Friday, May 21st - Senior Final Exams 

    1. Class period exam schedule announced at a later date.

  2. Friday, May 21st - Seniors’ Last Day 

  1. Friday, May 21st - Senior Sunset - Turf 2 - 7-8:30 PM
