MESSAGE REGARDING LUNCH

Our current lunch debt has reached 5,000.00 dollars.  Messages are going out to families of              students who owe monies.  We understand that some families may need to pay partial             payments         at intervals to repay the debt.  However, we do have some families who will be             unable to pay the         debt.  In order to cover the lunch debt and not have it come out of school             funds, we are looking for         donations to off set the cost.  If you, or someone you know, is             interested in sending in a donation, please       contact Ms. Tammy Zimmerman, Financial             Secretary at 410-956-5600 or tzimerman@aacps.org.             Thank you!

MESSAGE FROM YEARBOOK

            Senior Parents:

Yearbook recognition ads are the perfect way to commemorate achievements and celebrate milestones. To         purchase your ad online, follow the instructions listed in the attached Tribute Ads flyer. The site will be live             until June 1, which is the final deadline to submit a yearbook ad for your senior.

               All students and families:

Please note that the South River High School yearbook is a summer delivery. Make sure to pre-order your                  yearbook! We can only guarantee books will be available for those that are pre-ordered. Jostens will ship pre-   ordered books directly to homes over the summer, to the address on file with the purchase record, after they         are printed. Please note that a summer delivery of the yearbook allows for the yearbook staff to include a full    year’s worth of all-inclusive coverage for our student body, including spring sports and senior events such as prom, awards, and graduation.

If you have any additional questions about yearbook ads or yearbook distribution, please contact Ms.   Rospigliosi at erospigliosi@aacps.org or our Jostens representative, Steve Sweet, at             steve.sweet@jostens.com.

MESSAGE FROM SOUTH RIVER CLUB MANAGEMENT- RE: PROM

As prom season approaches, we wanted to share a quick note regarding photo locations for students. While we are honored to be part of the South River community, the Club does not permit prom or homecoming photos on the golf course, practice facilities, or surrounding grounds. Saturdays are among our busiest times, with a full tee sheet and active practice areas, and accommodating photo groups has proven to create safety concerns and interfere with play.

OPEN YOUR HOME TO A ROTARY EXCHANGE STUDENT

My name is Joann Smith, and I am a member and the Youth Exchange Counselor for The Rotary Club of South Anne Arundel County.  Hosting a Rotary exchange student is an extraordinary opportunity to welcome a high school student from a different country into your home.  As a host family, you will form a lifelong connection with this student, while helping the student to achieve his/her dreams and goals.  Your family will learn all about the culture, customs, and traditions of the student while sharing your own family traditions. The Rotary Exchange Student Program prefers that the student stay with 3 families, instead of just one, so that the student has an opportunity to have even more experiences, and the family does not need to commit to a full school year.   Each family will host approximately 3 ½ months.  Even after just 3 months of hosting a student, the family and student can feel the connection and love for one another, and the experience can produce never ending rewards for both the student and the family.  If you feel you may like to become involved and have questions answered about this wonderful program, please contact me ASAP at jody.blair@verizon.net and you can also visit www.exchangestudent.org (Rotary Eastern States Student Exchange).   I will contact you as soon as I receive your email and would be happy to share with you some of the wonderful experiences my family enjoyed while hosting.  Thank you very much for your consideration.

Happy Mother’s Day 🌼
