A Message from Mrs. Bennett, AACC Transition Advisor
It’s time for students to consider enrolling in an AACC class for the spring semester through our Early College Access Program (ECAP). Registration opens on November 12th for the spring term which begins on January 21, 2026. Eligible students may take college classes at no cost. These college credits can be applied to a degree at AACC or transferred to a 4-year college. Students may take classes in-person at AACC or online. We will offer one spring class for seniors at SRHS-Personal & Community Health. Students should see Mrs. Bennett to register for this class. A Message from Yearbook
Yearbooks are now on sale! www.jostensyearbooks.com. Please note that the South River High School yearbook is a summer delivery. Jostens will ship pre-ordered books directly to homes over the summer (to the address on file with the purchase record) after they are printed. A summer delivery of the yearbook allows for the yearbook staff to include a full year’s worth of all-inclusive coverage for our student body, including spring sports and senior events such as prom, awards, and graduation.
SENIOR Yearbook Information:
11/18/2025 is the deadline for senior photo selection for the yearbook. After that date, we cannot guarantee your photo (if taken late and after the deadline) or your preferred image (if you change your mind and want a different pose) will be included in the yearbook.

Harvest for the Hungry
Hello AACPS families! The 38th annual Harvest for the Hungry drive to benefit the Anne Arundel County Food Bank is now underway and will last until the end of October. This is the AACFB’s largest food drive of the year and they are counting on our support to help the more than 61,000 people in our county who are facing food insecurity.
Your generosity supports many programs, including food pantries, baby pantries, the Mobile Food Pantry, and the Backpack Buddies program with Anne Arundel County Public Schools. It is also a great opportunity for our students to learn to serve their community! Participation in the program teaches children valuable lessons about hunger, engages them in giving, and shows them they have the power to make a difference in their community.
This year, our school has set a goal to collect as many pounds of food as possible and $5000 in monetary donations to support the AACFB and help alleviate food insecurity in our community.
There are donation boxes inside the cafeteria doors on the left where students can put canned food into boxes labeled by graduating class. The class with the most donations wins an ice cream party! ALL non-perishable, non-expired foods are welcome! Please keep in mind that glass containers often break so please select plastic instead.
Funds can be donated easily online at aafoodbank.org/aacps– on the school drop down menu, be sure to select your student’s school.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions. Thank you for your generosity and support of our community!
