The closing of schools on Tuesday, January 27, and Wednesday, January 28, utilizes the second and third of three inclement weather days built into the 2025-26 school year calendar. Under state law, AACPS may choose to move to virtual learning on future inclement weather days. No decisions have been made for school district operations beyond Wednesday, January 28. If additional days are needed and virtual learning is not utilized, those days would be added to the end of the calendar.

"AMS Runs On Reading!” 🐲 Well, at least it does in Mrs. Key's 7th-grade classroom. Her students had a delicious 🍩donut 🍩 tasting where they got to read novels, rate them, and choose their favorite for marking period 2. Great job, Mrs. Key! https://www.instagram.com/annapmsaacps/p/DTYMOfIDpPZ/ @aacountyschools #IBlearning #novels

Huge shoutout to our amazing donor who stepped in with the biggest heart and paid off ALL outstanding student lunches at 🐲 AMS! 🍎💙
Because of you, our students can focus on learning, laughing, and being their awesome selves — not worrying about lunch balances.
Your kindness filled more than trays today… it filled hearts. 🐲 🥹❤️
Thank you for showing our kids what community, compassion, and generosity look like.
