A Quarterly Mental Health Documentary Series
...NEXT UP - ANGST
Monday April 25, 2022 @ 7 p.m.AACPS is hosting a quarterly documentary series screening of mental health topics impacting adolescents. The third documentary that AACPS will be featuring is called, "ANGST" and it addresses RAISING AWARENESS AROUND ANXIETY.
There will be an online screening of the film on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 7 p.m. for parents/guardians and the community and a recorded panel to discuss the film following the screening. Look for more information here and on the front of this website as the time draws nearer.We hope that you will join us for 1 more cyber-event after this one during the 2021-22 school year. Look for the next documentary "RACE" (see below), More information about our next event will be added here in the near future.
Past Screenings

The first screening was “The Upstanders,” which explored all sides of cyberbullying, from bully to victim, bystanders and family members. The power of social media means that bullying is now a 24/7 phenomenon. This documentary demonstrated that participation from everyone is needed to eradicate cyberbullying, helping bystanders to have the confidence and tools to become “Upstanders,” and help change toxic narratives.
"LIKE" and addressed the relationship between social media and mental health. "LIKE" explored the impact of social media on our lives and the effects of technology on the brain. Understanding that virtual connection is not going away and has many benefits, its goal was to inform, educate, and inspire people of all ages to self-regulate, so they can enjoy balanced and fulfilled lives.
