AACPS Presents...

  • A Quarterly Mental Health Documentary Series

IndieFlix presents "The Upstanders" - a documentary about resilience and the power of connection to end bullyingAACPS is hosting a quarterly documentary series screening of mental health topics impacting adolescents.  The first screening was “The Upstanders,” which explored all sides of cyberbullying, from bully to victim, bystanders and family members.  The power of social media means that bullying is now a 24/7 phenomenon.  This documentary demonstrated that participation from everyone is needed to eradicate cyberbullying, helping bystanders to have the confidence and tools to become “Upstanders,” and help change toxic narratives.

We hope that you will join us for 3 more cyber-events during the 2021-22 school year.  Look for the next documentary "LIKE" (see below), which explores the impact of social media (presented in February, 2022) as well as the additional topics will be presented in the coming months.  More information about our next event will be added here in January of 2022.

  • Future Film Screenings/Parent Panels

Links and additional information will be added as it becomes available about quarterly showings and parent panels for these topics.
