Certification lasts 5 years.  After that, in order to "renew" or maintain your certification, you must complete MOC (Maintainance of Certification). The cost of MOC is $495.00 which is currently paid by MSDE and AACPS. Candidates pay a $75.00 registration fee to NBPTS.
