Connect-Ed

Posted by:

Anne Arundel County Public Schools utilize the Connect-Ed automated telephone notification system to alert parents to emergencies and other important issues and events throughout the school system. The Connect-Ed system is also used by principals as a means to communicate with parents about key school events.

To start or stop receiving text messages, view the instructions below.

  • A parent who deleted the text alert message and now wants to opt out of texting. How do I do this?
The parent should be directed to send a text to 23177 or 67039 that says “STOP AACPS.” This message must be sent from the phone in question, and will end text calls to that number.
If the parent has a text message that has been received from AACPS, he or she can simply reply to that message with “STOP.” This message must be sent from the phone in question, and will end text calls to that number.

  • A parent who opted out of the text messaging and now wants back in. How do I do this?
The parent should be directed to send a text to 23177 or 67039 that says “SUBSCRIBE AACPS.” This message must be sent from the phone in question, and will enable text calls to that number.
