Free Arts Integration Conference at UMBC

The Department of Education at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and Arts Education in Maryland Schools present the 15th Annual Arts Integration Conference:

 

Making Connections, Staying Connected

A FREE Virtual Series!  

 

Kick-off Event is Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 4:30-6 pm

 

The keynote speaker is Alysia Lee, the education program supervisor for Fine Arts education for the Maryland State Department of Education where she shares her vision of statewide equity and excellence across five arts disciplines: music, dance, visual arts, theatre, and media arts.

A short preview of the six available workshops of the conference will be offered during the kick-off event.

 

Six Workshops will be available on Thursdays in March from 4:30-6 pm:

March 11, March 18, and March 25

Follow-up sessions for each of the six workshops will be offered in May.

 

Our six workshop presenters specialize in arts integration ranging from dance to storytelling and have something to offer to all teachers from PK - secondary.

We will host a special community event celebrating the arts on April 1, 2021.

The conference is FREE and completely online this year. Come be inspired by this gathering of artists, community leaders, classroom teachers, and administrators.  Develop your repertoire of ways to integrate arts that enhances learning experiences.
