Preparing for the SLLA (School Leaders Licensure Assessment)

The Division of Professional Growth and Development will offer a one APC credit, hybrid course: Preparing for the SLLA (School Leaders Licensure Assessment), to help participants prepare for upcoming assessments offered by ETS.

The assessment and this course are offered to both teachers and assistant principals who have completed the coursework and certification requirements for Administrator 1 certificate endorsement and who wish to add the Administrator ll endorsement.  A passing score on the ETS assessment - #6011  (is required by MSDE to gain the Administrator II – Principal/Supervisor certificate endorsement.)  It is often recommended that individuals who plan to add the Administrator ll endorsement take the assessment following coursework on the leadership standards content, and this staff development course will provide a review of the standards and the test taking strategies needed to receive a passing score on the assessment.

This course consists of two mandatory, face-to-face sessions with the remaining course hours (15 total) completed using both online discussion group posting through Black Board and four weekly, one-hour online chats. (scheduled weekly chat time on the four Tuesdays between the first and last face to face sessions will be determined in the first face-to-face session).  If interested, please register on ERO/MYAACPS-PD.
