'Learn & Practice Your Spanish while Volunteering in Peru'
There is an amazing summer 2019 opportunity for your consideration. We have planned a “Learn & Practice Your Spanish while Volunteering in Peru” four-week experience for two groups of 10-15 AACPS educators this summer. Travel to Cusco, Peru - the city known as the archeological capital of the Americas. Volunteer as a teacher or in another capacity of your choice for approximately 5 hours/day during the Monday through Friday work week; your weekends are free for you to travel and explore Peru as you wish. Receive 5-10 hours per week of small group Spanish lessons contextualized to your volunteer experience or contextualized to teaching and learning in general.
Many AACPS educators have told us how they would love to be immersed in the Spanish language in order to increase their Spanish speaking capabilities. This summer you have the chance. For approximately $1900 you can experience total language and cultural immersion in Cusco, Peru. This cost includes: a safe and clean place to stay as a group, breakfast and lunch (main meal of the day) daily, Spanish lessons, round trip air travel, travel medical insurance, volunteer experience, AACPS trip leader available for support, and up to 2.0 APC credits. Dates are June 30-July 26 (Group 1) and July 14-August 9 (Group 2). NOTE: Our AACPS group leader will be in Peru approximately from July 14 – Aug 9. If you are someone who would like to have AACPS support from the moment you land in-country, you may wish to sign up for the Group 2 adventure.
