Center of Applied Technology North Shines at the 2017-18 SkillsUSA State Competition

The Center of Applied Technology North (CATN) put in another strong performance at this year’s Maryland State SkillsUSA Competition held this past Saturday. The school earned 27 total medals, which included 11 gold medals, four silver medals, and 12 bronze. More than 25 schools from around the state of Maryland competed in 98 competitions during the two-day long event, which was hosted by CATN and held at various venues throughout the Baltimore region.

This year’s results continue a strong record of performance for CATN in the state competition. In last year’s event, CATN brought in 24 total medals, 9 of which were gold, followed by 13 silver and 2 bronze.

This year’s 11 gold medalists are eligible to compete in the 2107-18 SkillsUSA National Competition held in Louisville, Kentucky, during the week of June 25.
