This year's Showcase was held on January 3rd, 2020.
The purpose of Showcase is to highlight the status of dance instruction in public schools, to provide outstanding high school dance programs the opportunity to showcase their collective fine arts dance to the public in two concerts, to take master classes from college/university/professional dance personnel, to provide professional adjudicators to select All-State dancers and Showcase Award recipients, to select All-State Dancers, and for teachers and dancers to network with their colleagues around Maryland. All public high schools that have fine arts dance classes within their daily academic schedule are eligible to participate in Showcase and perform in one of the two concerts that highlight Showcase day. Dancers are nominated by their schools, then audition for All-State selection. A Showcase Award for Professionalism and Performance is also awarded to one school in the afternoon concert and one school in the evening concert who exemplify the award qualities.Save
