AACPS Suite of Safety Protocols

At its May 19, 2021, meeting, the Board of Education approved a motion stating its expectation that Superintendent George Arlotto and staff undertake efforts to increase the number of students in two- and four-day in-person classrooms settings by “giving reasonably flexible consideration to recommended distancing practices listed in the CDC guidelines.” That flexibility will mean moving desks closer than the current 6 feet distance and allowing students to eat, unmasked, at their desks. It will also mean more than one student per seat on school buses. AACPS is in the process of updating the documents on this page to reflect the Board’s decision.
