Our School’s Story
Since this school began in 1949, we have continued to evolve to meet the needs of our student scholars, families, and the school community. Focused on cultivating a strong teaching and learning environment for both teachers and students to thrive together, our vision for our school is to champion and nurture an inclusive learning community that models kindness in actions and scholarship through academic pride. Our teachers continue to utilize culturally responsive instruction to foster a love of learning amongst students who each learn in unique and different ways. We are committed to utilizing the best resources available, provide frequent opportunities to collaborate with educational leaders, and to learn from each other as we work towards our common goal of student scholar academic success and well-being.
Our collective mission as a school community is to promote building positive relationships with our student scholars who will be most successful when they feel valued and can embrace discovery through learning experiences both inside and beyond the classroom walls. To the best of our ability, we will ensure that our school is a place where all students have the same opportunities for success as they learn at Northeast Middle School. We are dedicated to creating a respectful and inclusive learning community for all and to focus on scholarship, kindness, and opportunities to positively contribute to the world beyond our doors. Northeast Middle School’s philosophy is to affirm the dignity of each of our students, teachers, staff, families, and community members and to uplift each other by recognizing the positive impact and contributions each member of our community offers at our school.
