Our Uniform Policy

Uniform Policy 2024-2025

Please help us stress the importance of following the uniform policy by making sure that your child is coming to school dressed appropriately every day. Mary Moss at J. Albert Adams Academy believes uniforms can improve student learning by reducing distractions, diminishing economic and social barriers between students, and increase a sense of belonging and school pride.


General Information: 

-Uniform clothing must be appropriate in size.

-Uniform clothing must be clean and mended if torn. 

-Uniform clothing must be worn as designed. 

-All school uniform exception days will be communicated in advance via Thrillshare. 

-Violations to the school uniform policy will be handled administratively.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Tops: 

-Gray collared polo style shirt (no hoodies).

-Crop tops are prohibited.

Bottoms:

-Black or khakis full-length pants or shorts.

-Skorts, skirts, jumpers and shorts must be no shorter than 5” above the knee. 

-Leggings and fishnet stockings are not allowed.

HIGH SCHOOL

Tops: 

-Black collared polo style shirt (no hoodies).

ALL STUDENTS

Shoes (All Students): 

-Athletic shoes are strongly recommended. 

-Students are not allowed to wear house shoes/slippers

Accessories (All Students):

-Ski masks are not permitted.

Backs packs & Bags (All Students):

-All backpacks must be clear.

-Students who wish to bring a purse/satchel will have their bags checked daily.

Interventions

Students that are out of compliance with the policy, will be addressed by staff and administration progressively. 

1st Offense- Verbal reminder to student; Parent/Guardian contact. Staff will review policy with the student. 

2nd Offense- Verbal reminder to student; Parent/Guardian contact. Staff will review policy with the student. 

3rd Offense- Administrator conference with student; Parent/Guardian contact. The policy will be reviewed.

4th Offense- Administrator conference with student; Parent/Guardian contact. The policy will be reviewed.

5th Offense- Administration Consequences (ISI)
