2021 Teacher of the Year Finalists
From a field of 43 outstanding educators, 15 semi-finalists were named in December. Today, five Anne Arundel County Public Schools finalists and two Anne Arundel County Independent School finalists have been announced. Congratulations to all of our 2021 Teacher of the Year Finalists!
Anne Arundel County Public Schools Finalists:
Jing Dai – World Classical Languages Teacher at Meade High School
Kellie Goforth – AVID Teacher at North County High School
Sarah Rippeon – Language Arts Teacher at Crofton Middle
Jessica Scanlon – First Grade Teacher at Glendale Elementary
Timothy Stedman – Physical Education Teacher at Crofton High School
Anne Arundel County Independent School Finalists:
Myles Healy – English Teacher at St. Mary’s High School
Jacquelyn Touhey – 3rd Grade Teacher at Rockbridge Academy
Excellence in Education Virtual Event: April 15

Our 2021 Excellence in Education Virtual Awards Celebration will be held on Thursday, April 15 at 6:00pm. The awards ceremony will include remarks from Dr. George Arlotto, greetings from AACPS Board of Education Board Members, and videos celebrating each of the 2021 Teacher of the Year honorees.
