    Anne Arundel County Public Schools’ kindergarten registration for the 2021-2022 school year begins on Wednesday, April 7, and parents and guardians can reserve their child’s seat by enrolling online.

    The following documents are required and will need to be uploaded when registering a child for kindergarten:

    • Proof of identify
    • The child's original birth certificate or birth record
    • A copy of the child's immunization record
    • Two proofs of residency (deed/lease/mortgage and current utility bill)

    PREKINDERGARTEN APPLICATION FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR BEGINS FEBRUARY 9, 2021

      

    Parents who wish to apply for their child to attend Anne Arundel County Public Schools Prekindergarten program may do so online beginning at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. 

     

    Enrollment for all Prekindergarten programs will be done online.  Start by completing the Prekindergarten application found here.  This Application must be downloaded to your computer and opened with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software (https://get.adobe.com/reader/).  Then enter the Portal to submit forms and upload documents here

     

    Due to COVID-19 restrictions, applications may not be submitted in person at schools.

    La inscripción para todos los programas de Pre-Kínder se realizará en línea.  Son dos pasos, comience por completar la aplicación de Pre-Kínder que se encuentra aquí.  Esta aplicación debe descargarse en su computadora o tableta y abrirse con el software Adobe Acrobat Reader el cual es completamente gratuito y esta disponible en (https://get.adobe.com/reader/). Inmediatamente después de completar el primer paso, termine su proceso de inscripción en el Portal de inscripción para enviar formularios y agregar documentos.  

     

    Debido a las restricciones de COVID-19, las solicitudes no pueden presentarse en persona en las escuelas.

     

    Children enrolling in Prekindergarten must be 4 years old on or by September 1, 2021.  The following documents are required when applying for a child to attend Prekindergarten and must be uploaded along with the completed online application:

    • Proof of identification of the person submitting enrollment documentation (must be a parent or legal guardian).
    • The student’s original birth certificate, birth registration or birth record.
    • A copy of the student’s immunization record.
    • Two proofs of residency (rental agreement or mortgage statement and a current utility bill).
    • Custody order (if applicable).

     

    Public Prekindergarten programs in Maryland are designed to improve the school readiness of children who are economically disadvantaged or homeless.  If seats remain, schools may enroll students with other readiness needs.  Those applying for Prekindergarten due to economic need must provide income eligibility verification by submitting one of the following:

    • Federal Income Tax Return (1040 statement) along with documentation related to other sources of income such as child support and/or rental income.
    • Current award letter for Temporary Cash Assistance.
    • Three consecutive pay stubs.
    • Proof of unemployment benefits.

    Families who do not have internet access or who need additional assistance completing an application should contact the school at which they intend to enroll their student.  School staff are able to assist families with completion of the online application.
