About Our School
West Annapolis Elementary School is a school of approximately 273 students located in Annapolis, Maryland's beautiful and historic state capital. West Annapolis is a part of the Anne Arundel County Public School System. Classes at West Annapolis range from kindergarten to fifth grade; the school serves as a feeder school for Bates Middle School and Annapolis High School. In 1999, West Annapolis was designated a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. West Annapolis has a proud tradition of academic excellence, parent involvement and community support.
Kindergarten Registration Begins April 1st
Please register is the main office between 9:30 am and 1:30 pm. Below are the registration requiements needed.
1. Determine Student's Eligibility: Children must be five-years-old on or before September 1 to enroll in kindergarten.
2. Identify and contact the school: You should register at the child's local school. To determine what the local school is for a specific address, check the School Assignment Locator or call The Planning Office at 410-439-5683.
3. Verify age, identity, residency, and immunization compliance: Parents/Legal Guaridans registering their children in an Anne Arundel County Public School must provide proof of student's age, identity, county residency and immunizations, unless homeless. Additionally, immunizations must be up to date.
