School hours will be 9:00am-3:25pm. Students may enter the building at 8:45am and are expected to be in their classroom ready for instruction by 9:00am. School office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:00pm.

Jacobsville Elementary School is equipped with a video camera system. It covers selected interior and exterior public portions of the building and grounds. It is NOT monitored constantly, but it is monitored during emergency situations. During certain events, when the safety or security of students may be in question, authorized personnel from local, state, or federal police or fire emergency units may be given access to view images projected on the camera system. If you have any questions about the system, you should call the Supervisor of School Security at 410-222-5083.
School Pictures are coming!!!
School pictures will be taken in May. Please see below for the respective day for your child's cohort. Virtual students only will be taken on May 12th and parents should check their email for a link to sign up for an appointment.
- Cohort A--Tuesday, May 11th
- Virtual Students--Wednesday, May 12th
- Cohort B--Thursday, May 13th
A picture form will be sent home with your student if they are attending in a hybrid cohort, or you can access one here:
Please note: Pictures will be taken of all students in attendance and all picture packages/proofs will be sent to the school. Pictures of our virtual only learners will need to be picked up at Jacobsville. A ConnectEd message will be sent when they arrive.
Out of Area Transfer Requests
Jacobsville Elementary will be accepting Out of Area Transfer Requests from March 1-May 1, 2021. After May 1st, all request must be sent directly to the Board of Education via fax at the number provided on the applicaton.
Information about out-of-area transfers can be found on the AACPS main web page under the Schools tab or by clicking on the following link OAT information.
If transportation/daycare is required, be sure to fill out and submit the respective forms with the request. Please visit the AACPS website for full details. Please note, unless the transfer is approved due to a hardship, parents are required to provide transportation to and from school regardless if the daycare is in the Jacobsville school district.
Jacobsville Elementary School is currently accepting Pre-K applications through the student registration portal. More Pre-K information and the Portal link may be found at https://www.aacps.org/Page/1514.
Please have the following documents available and ready to upload to the portal as you can only enter the portal one time:
- Current deed/lease or mortgage statment and a utility bill such as BGE/cable--must be dated within the last 60 days. Additionally, if you do not own/lease your home and you reside with someone else, a notarized Tennant Verification Form(TRV) with all pertinent information is required at the time of application. A copy is below for your convenience.
- birth certificate
- IEP if applicable
- financial documents if applying for Category 1
- parent/guardian's driver's license
Only completed applications will be accepted.
