Philosophy:
We, the staff of Southern Middle School, commit ourselves to the importance of understanding the nature of the young adolescent. We endeavor to help students to better understand and adapt to their ever-changing physical, social and emotional needs in order to acquire personal growth and develop a positive self-image.
Our programs and activities will provide opportunities for students to master basic skills and acquire knowledge necessary to accelerate the achievement of all students regardless of racial, ethnic, religious and socio-economic differences.
We believe that the existing and additional community partnerships are necessary to create an environment conducive to the successful implementation of all programs for all students.Mission Statement:
To provide quality, age appropriate, challenging curriculum and activities that allow each student to achieve his/her maximum individual potential in a safe and orderly environment.
