FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • 9/13/21 Where do I look for the late buses and the no-service buses?

Please visit our bus transportation link www.aacps.org/buses  where we post all the bus routes where transportation is impacted daily.  Additionally, our Communications Office is sending messages out daily to families giving them a list of schools where one or more bus routes have been impacted (late and no-service).

  • 8/23/21 – Does every student who rides a bus need to submit a Transportation Acknowledgement of Risk form?

Yes, the Transportation Acknowledgement of Risk form must be completed for each student utilizing bus transportation and submitted to the home school.  If you have three students at three different schools, please fill out three separate forms to send to each school, respectively.  No forms should be submitted to the Transportation Department.

  • 8/2/21 - HOW WILL CDC GUIDELINES BE IMPLEMENTED ON THE BUSES IN THE FALL?

CDC guidelines must be adhered to in all environments, this includes while students are riding the bus. Seat assignments will be made and all riders will be expected to wear a mask. Social distancing will be in place to the extent possible; this will be based on ridership.  As we did this past spring during hybrid learning, we will be allowing full student ridership again on our buses this fall.

  • 8/2/21 - HOW MANY STUDENTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO RIDE A BUS AT THE SAME TIME WHEN WE GO BACK TO SCHOOL THIS FALL?

We will be allowing full ridership on our buses this fall. Some buses may have 2-3 students per seat, if all students assigned to a bus decide to ride the bus to and/or from school.  This will differ by bus according to student need.
