The PVA Dance Program focuses on training students to use dance technique and artistry to grow as confident performers, choreographers, and artists. Proper anatomical alignment is emphasized as all genres of dance are studied and performed. Students develop their own artistic voices as they explore the creative process and choreographic tools. Students develop critical thinking and problem solving skills as they reflect on their own technique and performance and engage in constructive feedback with their peers. Collaboration with peers and experiences with professional artists expand each student's view of the field of dance and their own artistic expression. Overall the PVA Dance program aims to prepare each student for their future in the arts in a rigorous and nurturing environment.
