    LAST DAY OF CLASSES

The school closure has impacted the school calendar but AACPS has taken measures to avoid extension of the school year any further than necessary. The original primary election date of April 28 and two unneeded inclement weather days have been converted to instructional days, necessitating the addition of just two days onto the end of the year. The last day of classes for students is June 18.

    STATUS OF SCHOOLS

State Superintendent Karen Salmon announced on May 6, 2020 that the shutdown for all public schools in Maryland would be extended through the end of the school year (June 18, 2020 for AACPS) Decisions on the reopening of schools are made by Dr. Salmon, not by local school systems.Family Information Line
