School Renovation Details -  2009 - In 2009 Lake Shore Elementary underwent a major renovation that included expansion and upgrades. Designated areas were designed for a Cafeteria and Gymnasium that originally shared space. Relocation of the Art Room and Media Center allowed for a larger areas as well as an adjoining Computer Lab next to the Media. A Science Lab was added to the building that did not exist in the original design and there was space to allow for an Arts and Humanities classroom and two Music Rooms. There were multiple office spaces added for Itinerant teaching staff and renovations to all hallways and classrooms. The classroom upgrades include a bathroom in each room and additional state of the art technology such as Smart boards, Document Cameras, LCD projectors, and audio systems. Facility improvements included new windows, lockers, and a new Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning System to replace window air conditioning units.
