It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the principal of Marley Glen School.
I started my career as a special education teacher to 4th and 5th grade students and then as an inclusion resource teacher for kindergarten through 5th grade students. I held the position of resource teacher in the central Office of Special Education supporting over 30 schools. For 12 years I was an assistant principal, including serving as an administrator at the middle school level and at a special education school. I also taught college-level education courses at Towson University.
As a parent of two boys I recognize the importance of a strong home-school connection. Parents are their child’s first and most significant teacher. By working together, I believe that we can ensure that your child’s social, emotional, and academic needs are met. The Marley Glen staff believe that our students learn best when the school and the families form a partnership to help our students develop independence in school, at home, and in the community. I will be working closely with families, teachers, and support staff to ensure that our students continue to make educational gains across all environments.
