Glen Burnie Fitness & Nutrition, Nominated by Glendale Elementary School
With the introduction of the HERO Boys Running Club almost four years ago, Vincent "Butch" Santucci has role modeled the very attributes that are expected of its participants: Honor, Endure, Run, Overcome. Coach Butch has demonstrated these characteristics by attending every practice with a positive attitude, delivering motivational speeches, sending messages of empowerment to uplift self-esteem and self-worth, providing healthy snacks, and running side-by-side with those who need extra encouragement. "His contribution of time and talent as a successful young entrepreneur in the community has had a drastic and memorable impact on the lives and hearts of many students," acknowledges Glendale Elementary School Principal Kristy Snyder.

State's Attorney's Office, Nominated by Northeast High School
In her role as the Director of Community Outreach for the Anne Arundel County State's Attorney, Carol Parreco has been an invaluable partner, especially for Northeast High School's drug awareness initiatives. She played an integral part in the development of the Haunted House of Addictions awareness campaign which was highly praised by the community dor its transparency, relatability, and heart wrenching impact. Hundreds of community members visited the Haunted House of Addictions, and it was shared by local media outlets. In addition to its impression on the community, Parreco's efforts "empowered the group of students who worked on the project to keep wanting to make a difference within their school and the Pasadena community," says Northeast High School Signature Program Facilitator Brandi Dorsey.
