• Positive Attitude with Students and Staff (PAWS)

PAWS is a school-wide incentive program based on the PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports) model used throughout Anne Arundel County Public Schools.

The PAWS program rewards students who show Independence, maintain Safe Behavior and show Respect for others throughout the school building and community.  Students receive “PAWS” tickets that they can save for purchasing rewards at the school store, as well as earning school-wide activities during the school year (holiday parties, movies, etc.)  Parent involvement is key to maintaining the PAWS program through volunteering and donations of rewards in the school store.

The Mission of Marley Glen’s Incentive Committee (PAWS committee) is to create and maintain a productive, safe environment for all students and staff.  The Goals of the PAWS program are:

    • Establish clear expectations that are recognized throughout the school by all staff.
    • Enhance student academic and social success.
    • Create a continuum of behavior support.

The PAWS program also encourages staff to acknowledge each other when they see positive interactions with students and other staff.

Marley Glen is proud to be recognized as a Gold Level PBIS school.
