We are proud to be an authorization International Baccalaureate World School!
The mission of IB is powerful- to make this world a better and more peaceful place, by taking action.
The role of students is to embody the Learner Profile. When they are the Learner Profile, they will be the kind of human who will take action. In order for our students to take action, they must know what action to take. In order for students to know what action to take, they must learn. IB students learn through 6 big ideas or themes that connect all disciplines- Transdisciplinary Themes. IB students learn by applying 5 skills called Approaches to Learning. IB students also learn by asking a variety of questions- Key Concepts.
The role of educators is to build students’ self-efficacy, so they have the agency to take action to make this world a better and more peaceful place. Implementing the mission and teachings of the International Baccalaureate, “we can be the change we want to see in this world.”
